OUR HISTORY
Why is it called Human Motor Patterns?
As the logo suggests, Human Motor Patterns places the human brain at the center of the control of human motor patterns and related postures.
The study of motor patterns with innovative technologies is at the center of the startup's activities.
Founded in 2022 by Giovanni Maresca, a medical specialist in physiatry, and Francesca Romana Latini, a physiotherapist, Human Motor Patterns uses the latest technological developments in the software-hardware field.
Thanks to a multidisciplinary team of experts in Artificial Intelligence, biomedical engineering and healthcare, we create solutions that transform the way healthcare professionals interact with clinical data and treat patients.

HUMAN MOTOR PATTERNS
Our First Product: BMPOD
Our first device, the Brain Motor Patterns Optimizer Device (BMPOD), is designed to provide decision support to multidisciplinary teams composed of medical specialists, physiotherapists and orthopedic technicians. The BMPOD allows the detection and correction of human pathological motor patterns caused by joint imbalances, optimizing the individual postural set-up in standing, walking and running.
This solution stands out from existing rehabilitation devices because the correction of joint imbalances is recommended by the device by evaluating the effect on the entire motor model, offering a holistic correction thanks to Artificial Intelligence. The BMPOD represents a novelty in the treatment of DMS and introduces a revolutionary approach that targets the root causes of the problem, rather than just the symptoms.

The BMPOD is protected by robust international intellectual property (IP) under the WIPO-PCT system. We have filed patents for protection in Europe, USA, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Australia, Turkey and South Korea, ensuring global protection for our innovative device. The BMPOD is scheduled for commercial launch in 2026.
